They got their season off to a good start with a 1-0 win over Tottenham Hotspur but Louis van Gaal is still keen on making further signings at Manchester United this summer.

The Red Devils have signed five players this summer but need to replace Angel Di Maria following the Argentinian’s move to Paris Saint-Germain.

With David De Gea on his way out, Van Gaal reportedly wants to replace him with Atletico Madrid ‘keeper Jan Oblak.

The 22-year-old was impressive for Diego Simeone’s side last season and seamlessly replaced Thibaut Courtois after his move to Chelsea last summer.

The Red Devils are believed to have bid £25m for the stopper and, though it was rejected, they’re reportedly confident of completing a deal.

It looks as though Van Gaal will miss out on Real Madrid’s Sergio Ramos so the Red Devils are back in for Valencia defender Otamendi.

The Argentine defender is believed to have made it clear to the Spanish giants that he wants to move to Old Trafford this summer and he’s back on United’s agenda after their Ramos bid fell through.

The Red Devils have reportedly contacted Valencia over Otamendi’s availability with a view to signing the £35m-rated defender.

The Argentine was recently made captain at the Italian giants but he has admitted that he could leave the club this summer.
